Block & Retaining Walls
A retaining wall focuses on holding something in as opposed to keeping things out. They will often be employed in areas with high water-levels and around gardens to keep them from spilling out into other areas. A retaining wall can be incredibly beautiful or simple and utilitarian depending upon the tastes of the one having it built. A Strassen wall, for instance, has an old world weathered stone look to it that works well with paving stones to give a sense of stability, elegance, and charm to an otherwise common looking area. They work well as garden guardians as well as for bridges across streams small or large.
Other wall types of interest that we create are Panomur, Madera, and Gardenstone. Panomur walls are hollow structures filled with gravel that take on an old world appearance. They have a split face and are very sturdy. Madera walls are similar to the Panomur type but they have no locking mechanisms involved and are easily crafted in a short amount of time. Gardenstone retaining walls are very short in stature and are normally designed for do-it-yourself projects. However, many individuals do not have the time to do so on their own and we are more than happy to craft a perfect wall to divide a garden or outdoor area in specified sections.
Whether they are part of a walkway or are simply something pleasing to the eye, a retaining wall grants security and a sense of style to any landscape. Intricate retaining walls will incorporate walkways, stairs, and seating arrangements that allow for an elegant touch. The addition of pillars and other similar items can cause any wall to take on more than a sense of solidity and purpose. These walls become beautiful works of art that blend with the landscape to grant a gorgeous view as well as a sense of utility to their existence.
